RADICAL OBEDIENCE
I sit here during Holy Week reflecting on what Christ experienced the week leading up to His crucifixion.
It’s so easy to read the Word of God, sing worship songs and even talk about God without any real life application. What Jesus exemplified for us was RADICAL OBEDIENCE.
The word “radical”, according to the Webster Dictionary, is defined as: “very different from the usual or traditional.” I don’t think anyone would argue that what Jesus did for us was radical. What He did for us… well, it’s a debt we could never repay. But what we can do is honor His sacrifice by living a life that glorifies Him, right?
Let’s talk real life application…
Back at the end of 2019, I remember crying out to God regarding several prayer requests that seemed like they’d never get answered. Have you ever felt that way? Where you feel like your prayers are hitting a brass ceiling? I remember asking God, “What is going on? What am I missing? Are there things I still need to repent for on behalf of myself and/or my bloodline? Why is nothing happening?”
His response back to me surprised me and honestly left me speechless for a minute. He said,
“Daughter, if you want to see radical miracles in your life, you’re going to have to make radical changes.”
I knew this was a call to action. I knew this was a crossroads moment. I was being asked to count the cost. That moment with Him felt very weighty. I had a deep sense of knowing that the next season of my life would include some radical requests from Him. He was inviting me to partner with Him. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that my answer would be yes to whatever He asked of me. Why? Because I was that desperate for change.
Have you ever been desperate for change? To the point where you would do anything, no matter how radical, to see a breakthrough from God?
Well you’re in good company…
…consider Hannah who was childless (Mother of Prophet Samuel).
…consider Naaman who had leprosy. (2 Kings 5)
…consider the widow whose sons were about to be taken by debt collectors. (2 Kings 4)
As you read each of these biblical accounts (and if you haven’t yet, I encourage you to do so), you’ll read of radical changes these individuals made that led to radical miracles.
I was recently invited to minister with a friend of mine, Prophet Dana Reece. I shared a very powerful testimony. It was a personal story of radical obedience and the miracle God released afterwards.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to testify of how incredibly faithful God is. I was also grateful to share an important message about radical obedience and how to access it. If you want to learn more about how you can personally step into a life of radical obedience and experience radical miracles and breakthroughs in your life, I encourage you to stick around for the message after the testimony.

God responds to our obedience. It’s one of the ways we prove our love for Him. Check out what John 14:15 says, “If you love me, keep my commands.“ Also, John 14:21 says, “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.“ That’s a very striking If/Then statement right there. God makes a direct correlation between our obedience to Him and our love for Him.
Jesus being radically obedient to God exemplified His love for God and us. Us being obedient to Him, well… it is the least we can do in return.
What has God been asking of you in this season? Or what did He ask of you in the last season? What instructions have you been dragging your feet on?
What a wonderful way to honor Him this Holy Week by stepping out in obedience. Making a show and display of your love for Him by being obedient like He did for us on the cross. This is a no condemnation zone. So release any shame, excuses, and self deprecation. This week, just step out and obey whatever it is He has asked of you.
I personally have never regretted obeying God. I think it’s safe to say neither will you. Not because I said it, but because He did:
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations…” Deuteronomy 7:9
That’s a promise you and your legacy can bank on.
Remember, there’s something you carry that this world is in need of. The obedience is tied to you releasing what He’s put inside of you.
Destiny Chasers, you’ve got this. And He’s got you.
